Samoa is located in South Pacific Ocean and the two major islands of Samoa are Savaii and Upolu. European arrived in Samoa during the beginning of 18th century. About two-third of Samoan work force is engaged in agriculture which consist of exports of noni, coconut oil, copra and coconut cream.

The population of Samoa is 182,265 that consist of 92.6% of Samoans, 7% of Euronesians and 0.4% of Europeans. About three-fourth of the people are living on Upolu. Christianity is the major religion of Samoa comprising almost 100% of the population. Few people follow Baha’i Faith and Islam. Samoa has the one among the seven Baha’i houses of worship of the world. The official languages of Samoa are English and Samoan. Samoa is one among the cheapest tourist destinations of the major South Pacific Islands.

Palolo Deep Marine Reserve in Vaiala Beach situated in Apia is the most frequented tourist destinations of Samoa. Palolo Deep Marine Reserve is mainly coral gravel and an officially recognized underwater park. Snorkeling is possible in the clear blue waters of this marine reserve. Some of the tourist attractions of Apia are Robert Louis Stevenson Museum, Kava Kavings Handicraft shop, Old Apia market and Papapapaitai Falls. Marketi Tuai of Upolu is a market ideal for souvenir collectors. Mount Vaea in Upolu is best for trekking and hiking provide you a great scenic view of the place from the top of the mountain.

Fale Fono is the parliament of Samoa opened in the year 1972. The building is compared with a beehive and built in a traditional Samoan fale. Piula Cave Pool of Upolu is a pool situated on the rocky beach and tourists can swim in this pool. Vailima Museum was the house of Robert Louis Stevenson where he and his family lived until his demise. Lefaga is a beautiful beach suitable to relax and enjoy in Upolu. Some of the beaches of Samoa are Aleipata, Saluafata, Solosolo, Lalomanu, Vavau Tafatafa, Aganoa, Aufaga, Mulivai, Salamumu and Saanapu. Other attractions of Samoa are Taga Blow Holes, the village of Falealupo, Mosso’s Footprint and Star Pyramid.
