There is a really fun place where you can experience a cold weather indoor. The place is Snow City. It is located in 21 Jurong Town Hall Road, Singapore. It is an indoor theme park with snowy setting with even a temperature of the real winter. This place is a good choice for you to feel winter which does not exist in South East Asia area. You can bring your children here and you can let your children play by themselves because this place provides many interesting activities for children. In this place, you can go skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, and even you can create snowman. You will forget that you are in the tropical weather. You will like you are in the other countries. Snow City offers various kinds of activities and they have special for children and adult which is educational packages.
The educational packages aim to make children get interested in science by fun activities and lecture demonstration. The packages consist of many kinds of activities. There is Fun with Liquid Nitrogen activity, Ice Cream Making DIY activity, Champs on Ice, Winter Olympics, and Student Subzero Building Package. Fun with Liquid Nitrogen is the most popular program in this place. It is suitable for pre-school to Junior High School students. In this program, there will be several interesting demonstrations using liquid nitrogen. If you want to do the same activity with your children, you can join the Ice Cream Making DIY activity. There will be an explanation of ice cream history and the way of making ice cream. Even you can choose any flavours to your ice cream and eat it.
“Champs on Ice” is a new program from Snow City. It is a half-day workshop which consists of 1 hour snowboarding lesson, 1 hour enrichment program, and the rest hours are for fun activities about winter. The target for this program is for primary to secondary school students. You can play together with your children in Winter Olympics. It consists of 10 different activities. The most favourite activity is Speedo. In this activity, you will slide down on slope one by one. You can do it in groups and compete with other families. The fastest group reach the final destination is the winner. Youngsters usually love the Student Subzero Building Package. This program will give challenges to two groups and in each groups, they have to rescue their teammates who have fallen through ice into the freezing water. Each group do not only rescue their team mates but also have to pass the challenge and reach the final position as soon as possible to be a winner.
Beside the educational packages, Snow City also provides Snow Slope, Little Penguin’s Snowy Children Playground, and Santa’s Cabin. The slope in Snow Slope measured 60 metre long and 14 degrees slope. However, you can easily access to the top. The fun way to snow slope is snow tubing. You will sit on snow tubes and slide down to the snow slope. It is a fun activity both for adults and children. In the Little Penguin’s Snowy Children Playground, there is a snow play area specially designed for 2 to 6 years old children only. There is a mini house and slide that surely will keep your children having fun all day long. Before you go home, you should visit the Santa’s Cabin. You will experience being in a real wood house in the very cold weather. There is antique furniture and you should take some pictures with your children in there.

The Snow Chamber gives you chance to sledge with your children on the inflatable snow tubes.
Ski, snowboards and all sorts of ski clothes and shoes are available for rent in the ski stores. Please note, that you can only ski or snowboard if you enrol in a group, from beginner until expert level. There are certain times when skiing or snowboarding is possible and as the place is not that huge, only a given number of groups can ski at a time. The fun part of Snow City Singapore is the Little Penguin’s Snowy Children playground. It is a great way for your children to have a great time in the snowy land. The playground is for children between two and six. Santa’s Cabin is a great Victorian style Christmas room that has been made especially for photo taking opportunities.
Other great parts of Snow City include the Hot Chocolate Bar, where you will feel as if you were in a real warm and cosy mountain restaurant in the Alps serving tasty hot chocolate and all sorts of snacks. The Ice Bar reminds of Finland’s Ice Hotel, here many things, including the glasses are made out of ice so take care when you hold them! The Ice Bar is so popular that it hosts several special events, and marriages. What is very important to note, that you should take great care of the measures you drink. Which doesn’t make you drunk in the cold; it will turn you very very drunk when you enter back to the hot.

The ticket entrance fee is $16 for 1 hour, $27 for 2 hours (adults); $14 for 1 hour, $22 for 2 hours (children); $49 for 1 hour (group package of 2 adults and 2 children). Admission in the Snow City has 1 hour and 2-hour Snow Play time tickets costing 14 and 27 Singapore Dollars. For children there is not much discount, only 5 SGD when paying for the 2 hours ticket. Snow City is real fun, especially if you have not seen snow yet. Take care with the extreme temperature difference.
